Chris RobertsFounder & Director Chris co-founded Ridgeview with Mike and has taken on a variety of roles within the business, and is now in charge of the Estate, its management, maintenance and expansion. Chris has a unique eye for detail and problem solving so a new challenge or project is always welcome. Any spare time that Chris has is taken up with her passion for art and her (and Mike’s) four grandsons.

Simon RobertsWinemaker & Director A natural winemaker with a skilled palate, Simon likes minimal intervention as a Winemaker and would rather let the grapes speak for themselves. Simon gained experience in Australia at Brown Bros Winery where he met his wife Mardi and he is responsible for the day to day winemaking at Ridgeview with a fantastic team. In his spare time Simon can be found coming up with culinary creations in the kitchen.

Tamara RobertsGeneral Manager & Director As Tamara’s title infers she is responsible for the day to day running of the business, ensuring all areas are working together to achieve the best results. Not much happens at Ridgeview without her knowledge or input just like any good GM! Outside of work she likes to spend as much time as possible with her two children and never turns down an opportunity to have a few drinks with friends.

Mardi RobertsSales and Marketing Manager Our Aussie import grew up around vines and the passion has never left her. Mardi met Simon whilst working at Brown Bros Winery in Victoria, Australia and came over to the UK with him in 1999 and began the development of the Ridgeview brand. Her responsibilities include PR, export and managing national accounts. Mardi enjoys establishing and maintaining relationships, especially with like-minded people who make her job fun.

Matt StrugnellVineyard Manager Without fantastic grapes we have no wine and Matt Strugnell is responsible for making sure this happens. He started working for Ridgeview in 2002 and now has responsibility of all our vineyards in which he works tirelessly to ensure the highest quality fruit. Matt also provides valued advice & support to all Ridgeview’s partnership vineyards. In his spare time he can be found star gazing or playing very loud rock guitar.

Simon LarderSupply Chain & QA Manager Simon's key tasks are to liaise with suppliers and to ensure we comply with our food safety accreditation standards (SALSA), as well as any technical requirement laid down by our customers. To relax Simon enjoys road cycling, listening to music, spending time getting jumped on by his two boys and drinking the odd pint of Harveys.

Oliver MarshSales and Marketing Executive Oliver joined us in 2008 and supports Mardi in dealing with sales enquiries from the UK and abroad, ensuring orders are despatched on time and managing customer relationships. Oliver is also the face of Ridgeview at tasting events around the UK and when he’s not working he lists his hobbies as running, eating and sleeping.

John PalmerHandyman John likes a challenge which is just as well as we find him a variety of tasks to do in and around the winery and he is pivotal in helping to ensure that our premises and the estate stay functional and look exemplary. Anyone who has worked with John will know that his stamina and ability to find a joke for any occasion are unquestionable. |
