Ridgeview shines in "The judgement of Parsons Green"

An impressive 10 of the top 30 wines in the 2013 English Sparkling Wine tasting were made by Ridgeview.

Arranged by Stephen Skelton MW, a judging panel of 14 of experts in sparkling wine including nine Masters of Wine gathered together to taste 83 Sparkling wines in the “The Judgement of Parsons Green”. The tasting also included four Champagnes and one Californian sparkling wine.

Wyfold 2009, grown by Laithwaites Wine co-founder Barbara Laithwaite took top spot followed by the Laithwaites Theale Vineyard 2007 in 2nd place; both wines were made in collaboration with the Ridgeview winery team.

Ridgeview Cavendish 2010 was awarded 4th position and 6th place went to Ridgeview Grosvenor 2009, cementing the winery’s position at the forefront of English sparkling winemaking.
