Effortlessly expressive and joyfully pink, rosé has long been the go-to glass for carefree summer sips and picnic pours. But the story doesn’t end there. As styles diversify across the world, English wine is redefining what rosé can be – proving there’s far more depth to this much-loved style than its pretty pink shade. Explore four distinctive English expressions that showcase the full potential of rosé wine.
Delighting palates since 2002, Fitzrovia NV is our signature sparkling rosé – a non-vintage blend that captures the very best of English summer. Crafted with a high proportion of Chardonnay and a firm Pinot backbone, it balances brightness, finesse and fruit-forward charm.
A delicate cherry blossom hue and fine bubbles give way to notes of wild raspberry, redcurrant and sherbet, finishing with a soft creaminess that gently lingers. Fitzrovia’s versatility is part of its magic: it pairs effortlessly with seafood, creamy cheese or fruit-forward puddings.
It also holds a special place in British wine history, served by Queen Elizabeth II to President Obama at his Buckingham Palace State Banquet.
Shop Fitzrovia Rosé NVOne of the most hands-on wines in our cellar, this vintage rosé is meticulously crafted using Ridgeview’s own interpretation of the traditional saignée method (meaning “to bleed”). Every moment is overseen by our Head Winemaker, capturing just the right balance of colour, texture and flavour. It’s the most labour-intensive rosé we make and that dedication is reflected in every element of this wine.
Crafted from late-picked Pinot fruit, rested on skin and seeds, and aged for three years on lees, this vintage sparkling rosé glows with a peach-gold hue. Redcurrant and wild berries lift from the glass, leading to a layered palate of strawberry, orange peel, cranberry and biscuit. Here, structure meets softness; there’s texture, but with lift. This is a wine that doesn’t demand attention – it earns it.
Best enjoyed with flavour-rich dishes: beetroot tartare, fragrant Thai spices, or smoky, flame-kissed seafood.
Shop Rosé de NoirsRewriting the rulebook, this is Ridgeview Rosé – but not as you know it. A still wine crafted with the same precision and intent as the sparkling wines that define our winemaking heritage. Since its recent release, it’s quickly become a fan favourite.
Inspired by Provence rosé and made from Pinot Précoce (early-ripening Pinot Noir) grown in Suffolk and Essex, it brings clarity, poise and purpose to the table.
Rose petal pink in the glass, it opens with aromas of watermelon, peach and wild berries. On the palate, juicy cranberry meets a soft creaminess and bright, lifted acidity, making it endlessly pairable.
Exceptionally balanced and quietly expressive, it’s made for food, for sharing, and for those slow, sun-drenched summer moments – from grilled chicken and Provençal vegetables to ripe strawberries and soft cheese.
Shop Still English RoséSome wines reward even more with time – and this one proves it. First released in 2021 to high acclaim, we have just 200 bottles held back, quietly evolving and ageing on cork.
Crafted from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, it’s reached a new peak: rich, refined and beautifully composed. The palate moves from ripe strawberry to creamy peach and soft pastry, finishing with a flicker of sherbet and a silky mouthfeel that lingers.
Offered exclusively to estate guests and OurView Wine Club members, this is a rare chance to experience how vintage English rosé can mature into something rare and remarkable.
