Introducing the Ridgeview Demi-Sec

Borne out of the creativity and craftsmanship of our winemaking team, the Ridgeview Demi-Sec marks the dawn of an exciting chapter for OurView members. The debut release from a new series of exclusive member wines, this limited-edition bottling is the first ever Demi-Sec Ridgeview have shared. Crafted solely for wine club members and with only 500 bottles produced, this wine is designed for those who seek the unique, the innovative and the exceptional.

THE WINEMAKER’S TOUCH

A rare example of a handcrafted English Demi-Sec, this wine has a masterful blend of over 30 base wines. Through meticulous dosage trials, our winemakers sought to find the optimum level of sugar to enhance body, texture and flavour. The result is a delicate off-dry wine where every element is woven together, achieving a beautiful balance of sweetness and acidity.

“OurView members are such a valued part of the Ridgeview community. It’s a total joy to create wines just for them, giving us the chance to push boundaries and try something new. It’s about taking them on a journey with us, sometimes nudging them outside of their comfort zone to explore different styles.

In many ways, they’re helping shape our evolution, and we’re moving forward together – discovering, learning, and growing. The Demi-Sec is the perfect expression of this, as the first exclusive wine crafted especially for our members.”

A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE BOTTLE

With a gentle off-dry style, it takes you beyond the familiar – an invitation to explore new dimensions of English sparkling wine. The pour reveals a gentle gold hue with enticing aromas of orchard fruit and honeyed apricot. On the palate, layers of warm apple crumble unfold, with streaks of stone fruit and zesty orange peel. Hints of cinnamon and almond biscuit add depth and complexity, producing a beautifully balanced bottling.

“I love the way it hits your palate, with ethereal flavours like caramelised peach and honeyed apricot. Sweetness enhances body and texture, bringing out toasty, stewed fruit notes that add a rich, lingering depth – flavours that can’t be found in any other style of sparkling wine.” – Jack Mankin, Ridgeview Winemaker

A deliciously foodie wine, the balance of sweetness and acidity welcomes a world of food pairing adventures. The balance of sweetness and acidity complements spicy Asian dishes and is sublime with buttery pasties or a traditional afternoon tea. Perfect for popping open at Christmas, it shines alongside creamy blue cheeses and charcuterie platters, or served with a zesty, citrus dessert.

New Season, New Setting

VINEYARD DINING GETS COSY

From vineyard to winery, we move with the seasons, and so does our restaurant, The Rows & Vine. As the cooler weather draws in, we head indoors to the Winery.

A cosy, casual and contemporary space to sip, meet and eat, The Rows & Vine at the Winery offers sweeping vineyard views and a glimpse of our tanks, cellars and winemaking in action. With a sumptuous new sharing-and-pairing menu (*coming soon*), Ridgeview’s restaurant takes on a fresh seasonal magic this autumn/winter.

From Sunday 5 October, all bookings will be held indoors.
