BY CAR SHARE
Single occupancy car trips and private transport is one of the world’s biggest sources of greenhouse gases. So, if you’re travelling to Ridgeview with friends and family by car, then why not make the journey together? It’s an opportunity to connect and catch-up before you’ve even arrived!
Or you can find economical and eco-friendly carpooling options through Liftshare or West Sussex Car Sharing Scheme. They’re free to join and it’s easy to search and find both drivers or passengers to share a trip with.
WALK TO RIDGEVIEW
Ridgeview is around a 30-minute walk from Burgess Hill train station. As members of the South Downs Cyclists and Walkers Welcome scheme, we offer a warm reception to visitors on foot, with facilities to store rucksacks, jackets, and other gear. We also provide basic first aid essentials and complimentary refills for water bottles or flasks with hot or cold water. We’ll always do our best to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable.
ROUTE: Please allow 30 minutes for the walk. Turn right out of Burgess Hill Station on to Station Road. Walk up the hill, towards a roundabout. At this roundabout, stay right (third turning) and onto Keymer Road. Continue on Keymer Road, past Burgess Hill School for Girls, for approx. 0.3 miles until you reach a mini-roundabout. Turn left here, onto Folders Lane and continue for approx. 0.8 miles. Turn right into Stroudley Drive and (keeping left) follow the path to the end. To the left you will see a stile that will take you into Ridgeview Wine Estate where a warm welcome and a cool glass awaits! Please wear appropriate footwear, as the footpath can get very muddy. Wherever you’re starting out, you can plan your own walking route here.
